Navneet Raman
Navneet Raman's family has been contributing to the culture and heritage of Varanasi for 100 years. His great grandfather was the first mayor of Varanasi in the beginning of the 20th century. Family members were founding trustees of Banaras Hindu University, Kashi Vidyapeeth, and Central University of Tibetan Studies. Continuing his family legacy, Navneet has been preserving culture and heritage in Varanasi for the last twenty years. He is the founder of Kriti Gallery and Artist Residency, and has been the Convenor of INTACH Varanasi Chapter from 2006-2009. He is the founder of Banaras Cultural Foundation, a not-for-profit organization engaged in cultural exchange and education trips. At SINI, he helps to integrate visitors and students into the world of Varanasi. His love of trees and the environment keep him busy at the Institute. Navneet has helped to dream up beautiful visions of biodiversity at SINI, creating oases of green wherever he goes!
