Jaime Luria Pinto
Jaime Luria Pinto was born in Liverpool, UK, in a Christian family of mixed British and Indian ancestry. While studying theological and religious studies at the University of Cambridge, Jaime took refuge at Kagyu Samye Ling in Scotland and participated in and organized various interfaith projects. After training as an ESL teacher Jaime has lived in Southern Europe and South Asia, and practiced meditation both in Theravadin Vipassana traditions from Myanmar and in Nyingma and Kagyu lineages of Vajrayana Buddhism. As a writer Jaime contributed to the anthology Transcending: Trans Buddhist Voices, exploring gender from metaphysical and social perspectives. Besides intercultural education and Dharma preservation, Jaime is interested in comparative philosophy, interfaith dialogue and the role of spiritual practice in collective healing.
