Dr. Pandey

Since 2011, Dr. Pandey has served as the on-call Ayurvedic doctor at SINI. Dr. Pandey takes care of all health-related issues for SINI’s monks, students, and visitors. Although he was never formally trained in Sanskrit, Dr. Pandey was tutored by his father, a great Sanskrit professor at the Sampoornanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi. Supporting SINI’s mission to revitalize Sanskrit Buddhist chanting, Dr. Pandey is now engaged with recording Sanskrit Buddhist texts like the Manjushrinamsangiti, and other prayers and mantras. Every year, since 2016 Dr. Pandey has led the Manjushrinamasanghiti annual program held in Bodh Gaya.
